GAR FY26 – Training Material and Guidance
Updated 19 Jun 2026
Welcome to GAR FY26
With the end of the Financial Year 2026 approaching, the Global Annual Report (GAR) process is entering its preparation phase. The GAR serves as WWF’s core network-wide reporting framework, supporting transparency, accountability, and informed decision-making across all Offices.
The GAR FY26 data submission process will open on 3 August and run until mid-September, followed by a structured Data Quality (DQ) review phase.
Results will subsequently be consolidated and made available on the Network Data Hub in the second half of October.
This training sub-site provides all relevant materials and guidance to support Offices in preparing for and successfully completing the GAR cycle.
How to prepare
In the weeks leading up to the data submission phase, you are encouraged to:
- Review and confirm your GAR key contacts, ensuring access to the GRR 2.0 platform and alignment across teams
- Familiarise yourselves with the GAR Data Structure and Data Glossary, including metric definitions and stewardship roles
- Prepare required data inputs across functions (Finance, Conservation, HR, etc.) in advance
- Update CPM / PMEL project portfolios to ensure alignment with GAR reporting requirements
Early preparation is essential to ensure smooth data submission and reduce effort during the review phase.
GAR Timeline (Overview)
The GAR process follows a structured annual cycle:
- By 31 July: Finalise project portfolios in CPM / PMEL
- August – mid-September: Data submission phase
- Mid–late September: Data Quality review and validation
- Early October: Final submission closure (GRR 2.0 forms closed)
